• Step 1: There’s space for a couple of cars along this road, Clawthorpe, Carnforth LA6 1NX in Farleton Knott. This is a hilly and uneven walk on fields. It will be muddy in wet or wintry weather.

• 

  Step 2: Enter the gate, remembering to close it behind you. This is access land and sheep are grazing in the field. Dogs on a lead please.

• 

  Step 3: Continue ahead, uphill. Look left for views of Morecambe Bay. You should see the sand and the sea on a clear day.

• 

  Step 4: Keep going uphill, we’re heading towards the limestone crags. The grass footpath is well trodden.

• 

  Step 5: Soon you’ll see the crags come into view.

• 

  Step 6: Continue ahead as the path bears left here.
