• Step 1: The easiest way to arrive at the start is by car as this walk is some way off the beaten track. You’ll also need to be prepared with plenty of snacks and drinks...

• Step 2: Bring warm layers and waterproof boots even in summer, as you’ll be venturing into a deep ravine! It’s not too challenging though, and great for adventurous kids.

• Step 3: We’d recommend driving to Roach End. From The Winking Man Pub, follow the road to the left for a short distance, then turn right - you’ll see The Roaches up ahead...
