Step 1: This walk is around a beautiful wee bay. A true hidden gem. Remote & secluded with onshore winds. Parking for about 6 cars at Stranraer DG9 0PD. Best walked at low tide. Owned by the Corsewall Estate which runs much of the area.
Step 2: Whilst it’s technically a private beach, walkers are welcome here. As are dogs, swimmers and probably paddle-boarders! Please be mindful of local signage and be aware that docking ferries create big waves for up to 30 mins.
Step 3: Make your way down the concrete steps that lead to the beach. You’ll find them on the left hand side as you face the loch.
Step 4: Here you’ll enjoy views over Loch Ryan with a lovely sandy beach underfoot.
Step 5: For this walk, we’ll wander, right, along the beach and then loop back along the grassy coastal path.
