Step 1: There’s parking for a few cars before this sign. Simply follow the ancient path towards what’s left of Hallaig.
Step 2: Hallaig was made famous by the Gaelic poet Sorley MacLean. The grassy path heads up a modest climb.
Step 3: Amazing views to the Applecross peninsular.
Step 4: The English translation of Hallaig was set to music by the late Martyn Bennett on the album Bothy Culture - check out the poem b4 you arrive
Step 5: The walk itself has its own soundtrack, when the weather is calm there’s a silence, broken only by raven, bee and chaffinch.
Step 6: A place where the good things in nature present themselves to you.
