  • Step 1: Goring can be reached by train on the GWR from Paddington and Wallingford is served by bus to connect to rail via Reading. We parked in Wallingford and caught the 134 bus to Goring Station. There’s a shop near by if needed.

  • Step 2: Head away from the station, opposite direction to the car park and turn left at the bridge to cross the tracks and head down the high street to Goring’s centre.

  • Follow the main road through the village. There are a few shops, a pharmacy and cafes.

  • Step 4: Public loos are in the Wheel Orchard Car Park if needed. Take a left after the fish and chip shop and drive way, next to the interiors shop. The passage runs past a small allotment.

  • Head back to the high street and cross over Manor Rd and around this walled off village green.

  • Cross the road that leads down to the river so you are on the higher level in order to cross the bridge.
