• 

  Step 1: Stage 7 of the Ringway starts at Marple station, served by trains from Manchester. Buses from Stockport run to stops nearby.

• 

  Step 2: Leave the station from Platform 1 either via the stairs or, for step-free access, via the car park to reach the A626 (Brabyns Brow).

• 

  Step 3: Turn right along the pavement of Brabyns Brow to cross the bridge over the train line.

• 

  Step 4: Directly after the bridge, turn right onto the footpath marked by a fingerpost.

• 

  Step 5: Continue along the narrow dirt footpath that overlooks the train station, with a fence to your left.

• 

  Step 6: At the fork in the path bear left on the path that goes past the tennis courts. Continue gently uphill.
