  Step 1: Start near the clock tower.

  Step 2: You can see over the old fort and into the ocean. The fort was first built by the Portuguese in 1588.

  Step 3: It was fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onwards

  Step 4: The Sri Lankan government and some Dutch who still own land would like the fort to be designated a modern wonder of the world.
