  Step 1: Welcome to Sandwich! This circular walk begins at the train station & ends in the town centre.

• 

  Step 2: There's so much to see! When you're ready, let's head out. Just outside the station, turn left to follow the pavement along the fence.

• 

  Step 3: Keep going all the way till you reach New Street.

• Step 4: Turn right following the pavement.

• 

  Step 5: After a short stretch, look out for the entrance to the town wall walk, up a couple of steps and marked with this sign.

• Step 6: Sandwich used to be on the coast, and it has a remarkable history of violent raids and invasions. In 1385, it was decided the town should be fortified and it was entirely walled.
