• Step 1: Traveling by bus/train adds a lot of time to this walk but is possible via Dorchester Bypass X40 buses and Culham Train Station. Instead we parked at Culham Lock and got a taxi to St Peter’s Church Little Wittenham.

• 

  Step 2: Walk past the church, on your left down this single track road.

• 

  Step 3: Follow it as it curves and you’ll cross a small bridge.

• 

  Step 4: Then a larger bridge across part of the Thames.

• 

  Step 5: To your left you will see the lock and weir.

• 

  Step 6: Continue to the next bridge and you’ll have views of the meadows of Dorchester riverside.
