  • Step 1: This walk starts at Culham Lock. The train station is 1.6 miles from the lock. Alternatively get a local taxi to Culham Lock Car Park to start the walk. We parked at Radley Station and caught a taxi there.

  • Head out of the car park via a path into the lock area. Walk towards the river. Left is the bridge over Culham Cut.

  • Turn right to continue upstream. You’ll pass the lock keeper’s cottage. Head out of the gate.

  • There are fields on the right and an island left. A bridge leads across the river to Sutton Courtenay where the river meanders to the south.
