Step 1: This walk starts at the National Trust Ash Landing car park. You can walk to Claife station from the ferry too by following the signage.
Step 2: Facing Lake Windermere, turn left and head on the gravel/dirt path into the woods, signed on the finger post to the viewing station.
Step 3: Follow the path as it bears right.
Step 4: Then turn left to head up the stone steps. There are low hanging branches here.
Step 5: If you need a breather on the steps, turn around for views of the water.
Step 6: At the top of the steps, turn left and then follow the rocky uneven path round to the right.
