Step 2: This walk is curated in partnership with Essex County Council and Tendring District Council.
Step 3: Clacton is a well served destination for trains & coaches. You can get a direct train from London in less than 1hr 30mins. Once in Clacton take the 98 bus (or walk) to Pier Avenue close to where the walk begins.
Step 4: A taste of Italy 🇮🇹 In 1914, the Venetian Bridge was built, as part of Clacton’s General Beautifying Programme.
Step 5: Continue up Pier Gap. Although the road’s a little steep, it is flat, making it easier for those with pushchairs or wheelchairs.
Step 6: As you reach the top, on your left you’ll notice Clacton’s Garden of Remembrance.
