• Step 1: Your walk begins here at the Chantries car park. If you’re arriving by public transport, the nearest bus stop is on Pilgrims Way. Buses to and from Guildford stop here.

• Step 2: Take the right hand fork at the sign post. Keep straight on up the path ahead. Do not turn left.

• 

  Step 3: Continue straight ahead.

• 

  Step 4: Follow the path until it opens onto a road. Go past the gate to the field and turn left onto the path across the field on your left

• 

  Step 5: Keeping left as you pass through the posts. Be careful of the barbed wire here.

• 

  Step 6: Carry on up the path. There is a steep incline here.
