• Step 1: This walk starts at Castle Eaton & ends at Cricklade or combine with the next leg to Ashton Keynes. Due to a lack of buses we took a taxi to the start. The Red Lion pub has a small car park for the drop off.

• 

  Step 2: Start from the Red Lion on The Street, it opens at 12 so closed in the morning. The beer garden runs down to the river.

• 

  Step 3: Head away from the pub and village centre, past the beer garden wall. To the right is the road bridge where you can view the river.

• 

  Step 4: Continue along The Street, cross the road and walk along the narrow pavement beside the parked cars.

• 

  Step 5: As The Street curves left, continue straight onto Mill Lane.

• 

  Step 6: Head past the houses, cars and caravan towards the path signposted.
