  Step 1: This walk starts on the entrance to Calderstones Park on Yewtree Road (postcode: L18 3JL). The nearest bus stop is on Melove Ave.

  Step 2: This walk is mostly flat. Head into the park through the gate and mind the bollard as you go. Continue ahead.

• 

  Step 3: Continue as the path bears slight left. The lake is now on your right hand side.

• 

  Step 4: The lake used to be a boating lake and is now a haven for local wildlife.

• 

  Step 5: Keep to the main path, enjoy the tree-lined vista as you go.

• 

  Step 6: Look for a path off to the right and take a closer look at the lake.
