  Step 1: Start at the black Mountain centre car park (free) and make your way up quarry road to the woodlands

• 

  Step 2: Continue through the woods to the moorland

• 

  Step 3: Cross the moor towards the road

• 

  Step 4: Travel up the road just a few metres

• 

  Step 5: This will take you down the valley to the river

• 

  Step 6: Cross the bridge here and follow the footpath
