  Step 1: Start on High St by the Town Hall. In 1666 Annan Burgh school was to be found near the graveyard behind the Town House.

  Step 3: Cross High Street and head down Port Street.

• Step 4: On Port Street we come to Scaurbank.

• 

  Step 5: This was the site of the Burgh school after the Battery Street building was demolished in 1739. Scaurbank was built in 1840 and is listed.

  Step 6: Head further down Port Street towards Nicholson Street.
