Step 1: Delhouse is the closest village to Adam’s Peak and makes a good place to stay in preparation for the hike.
Step 2: To reach the top in time for sunrise you’ll need to start around 2:30am. It gets very busy at the weekend so if possible try to pick a week day.

Step 4: Cross the bridge and make your way up the hill to the left, then follow the sign to the start of the Adam’s Peak steps.
Step 5: Once on the path follow the 5,500 steps up to the 2,243 meter summit.
Step 6: Take some warm clothes it’s easy to underestimate just how cold and windy it can be at the top while you wait for sunrise.
